Mary Ball Washington: The Untold Story of George Washington’s Mother

Author Craig Shirley will discuss his book, Mary Ball Washington: The Untold Story of George Washington’s Mother, winner of the People’s Choice Award from the Library of Virginia. Includes a pre-talk reception with a chance to meet the speaker. Reception begins at 5:30 PM. Beer, wine, and light hors d’oeuvres. It has been called by some "The Woodstock of Cruise In's"! This event is geared toward folks who enjoy the "golden age" of the hot rod car scene: 1950's - 70's. Come see old friends and make new ones with our main goal being to enjoy our cars, share stories from days past and photos from the "good old days" of hot rodding, street racing and drag racing. Expect cars, trucks, rat rods, race cars, project cars and motorcycles 1981 and earlier, local celebrities and local racing legends . We are offering large swap meet / car corral spaces for only $25 so reserve yours now and get those parts or project cars priced to sell. If you have a friend or two you feel would fit in with this "old school" group please feel free to invite them and remember vehicles must be 1981 or earlier. Food trucks will be on premise and a we will have a good old school music. We look forward to seeing you all May 17th with a rain date being Sunday May 18th. Our Fall Cruise in is set for November 1st so mark your calendars! National Street Rod Association will be there again in 2025 to renew NSRA memberships and answer questions about the benefits of NSRA membership and enroll new members. We will also have NSRA Safety Inspectors to provide free safety inspections for the 2025 car show season.
